The Vibe floor show for the Emerald Ball

Under the direction of Rick Robinson and Kellie Messerly, Vibe Performing Arts Center in Lindon, Utah, is the place to come for fun and elite performing arts instruction. The Vibe, which is an abbreviation for Versatility In Body Expression, focuses on training dancers in all forms of dance, and offers classes in ballet, jazz, tap, hip hop, tumbling, contemporary and ballroom. In its first year, the Vibe is already gaining local and national recognition for their versatile and quality performances.

Vibe Productions has successfully produced several local professional dance shows this year that combine the strengths of our artistic directors Rick Robinson, Kellie Messerly, and Alan Salazar. Evolutions of Dance completed its smashing winter run with a unique blend of ballroom, jazz, and hip hop numbers. Evolutions of Dance takes audiences from early tribal dances moving through the Renaissance and into the 20th century with dances from the 1920s, '30s, '40s and into the '90s and then explores what dance may become in the future. The next show coming up for Vibe Productions in August 2008 is Move, an inspiring dance show conveying the power and beauty of the body in motion.

The Vibe floor show for the Emerald Ball will feature excerpts from both the Evolutions of Dance and Move shows combined with numbers by the Vibe amateur jazz, ballroom, and hip hop companies. Also featured in the floor show will be the Vibe?s teen ballroom company that currently holds the title of 2008 US Junior Latin Formation Champions recently awarded at the US National Amateur DanceSport Championships at BYU in March.
